This was my first animated video I collaborated on. I was commissioned by UCLA Professor Adrian Wong and Art Basil HK contributer Shane Aspregren. I made a series of abstract geometric shapes morphing in increasing complexity on top of composited cymatic patterns produced by passing a sound current through a metal plate. The video was the centerpiece of the 'Cromniomancy Exhibiton' held September 6th 2016 in Rossi & Rossi Gallery, Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong.
This is a short film I made as a student animator for the Gongmaster who lives in New York, Don Conreaux. He commissioned me to recreate a caricature of him from the 70's as a gong playing cartoon character. I didnt know how to approach this project so I went a little deeper into the spiritual art form of Gong playing. This short film is a summary of what I learned about the healing nature of Gong therapy. Commissioned by 'Red Doors Studio' HK.
